PIVIT BRICKMIX N MORTAR MIX - 30 KG

PIVIT BRICKMIX N™ is a dependable masonry mortar mix for laying brick, concrete block, and natural stone in common above-grade applications. Designed for consistent workability and clean tooling, it helps crews keep joints uniform and productivity steady on residential and light commercial masonry work.

Use BRICKMIX N™ for interior or exterior above-grade masonry projects — from load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls to brick mortar joint repair. Meets the requirements of a Type N mortar in accordance with CSA A179.

Note: Type N mortar should not be used where Type S mortar is specified.

Preparation, Mixing & Application

Ensure all surfaces in contact with fresh mortar are free from dust, oil, grease, or any bonding inhibitors. Mix each 30 kg bag with 4.0 L (1.0 US gal) of potable water — manually in a wheelbarrow or mortar box, or mechanically in a mortar mixer - until uniform with no dry pockets. Allow mortar to rest 1–2 minutes, then re-mix. Add water up to a maximum of 4.5 L (1.2 US gal) only if needed for desired consistency. Apply a mortar bed to the base, butter the end of each unit, tap into position, and level. Tool joints once mortar has stiffened enough to resist finger pressure. Maintain temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C (40 °F and 86 °F) and protect from rain for a minimum of 48 hours.
