PIVIT BLOCK S MORTAR MIX - 30 KG

PIVIT BLOCK S is a high-performance, pre-blended Type S mortar mix engineered for structural masonry applications that demand superior bond and high compressive strength. Factory-calibrated with cementitious materials and precisely graded masonry sand, it delivers exceptional durability and workability. Just add water. Packaged in a 30 kg (66 lb) bag.

Use it for foundation walls, retaining walls, chimneys, parapets, and any masonry application where high compressive strength is required. BLOCK S meets or exceeds CSA A179-14 requirements for Type S mortar.

Preparation, Mixing & Application

All surfaces in contact with fresh mortar must be free from dust, oil, grease, or any material that can inhibit bonding. PIVIT BLOCK S™ can be mixed manually or mechanically - add 4.0 L (1.0 US gal) of potable water per 30 kg bag, mix for 3-5 minutes (5-10 minutes if colorant is added), and allow to rest for 1-2 minutes before re-mixing. Only add additional water up to a maximum of 4.5 L (1.2 US gal) to obtain the desired consistency. Apply a mortar bed to the base, butter the end of each unit, tap into position, and level both vertically and horizontally. Tool joints when the mortar resists finger pressure but still shows visible fingerprints. Maintain ambient and material temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C (40 °F and 86 °F) for at least 24 hours before and 48 hours after application. Protect from rain for a minimum of 48 hours and from freezing for a minimum of 48 hours.
